Please be aware that there are two fire escape  Stairwells on each floor and in each tower.

It appears the Diamond Head side fire escape is designed to ventilate smoke trapped in the Stairwell.

The Canal Side fire escape does not ventilate smoke in the fire escape Stairwell.

Experts tell us that we should also take the time to locate the fire hose closest to our Condo.

They also recommend that we should know how many steps it takes to enter the fire stairwell from your front door. In case of a fire it is possible that the hallways could be filled with smoke. You may not be able to see in the smoke. The smoke could make it impossible for you to find the fire stairwell.

Taking a few minutes to count the steps from your front door to the fire staircase could save your life.
